The Smithy, as the name implies, is a tastefully converted former Smithy near Beaumaris that was built in 1811. It was converted to a high quality holiday home in around 1985, just before it was acquired by the current owners who have continued to improve and update the Grade 2 listed home to its beautifully appointed standard.

 

The Smithy is situated in the quiet hamlet of Llanfaes that is about 1 mile from Beaumaris on the Island of Anglesey, North Wales.

 

                                          

 

The accommodation comprises of a family living kitchen with log burning stove and cosy two seater settee. Off the kitchen is a utility room with fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer/ dryer. The main living room is approximately 650 sq.ft and measures circa 30 feet to the eaves with exposed beams and timber boarded ceiling. It has a vast inglenook fireplace and a large log burning stove.

 

The master bedroom is approached via a spiral staircase that is accessed onto a gallery overlooking the lounge. This double bedroom has exposed timber beams and timber boarded ceiling. It has an open plan bathroom with roll top Victorian bath and separate W.C and wash hand basin.  The second double bedroom is  approached via a crug stair and has a double bed, built in pine wardrobes and a wash hand basin. There are two further bedrooms on the ground floor, one with bunk beds and the other with a single bed. There is also a fold out bed and travel cot sleeping a total of 8 plus infant. The family bathroom on the ground floor was recently refitted comprising of 'P' shape bath with shower and corner wash hand basin.

 

There is a conservatory which opens out onto a patio with cast iron furniture. A unique log mounted Outback Gas Barbeque is also on the patio.

 

There is a television with built in freeview, twin freesat recorder and DVD player /recorder in addition to a hifi with CD and iPod docking. There are a selection of books and games for guests to enjoy during their stay.

 

There is adequate parking in front of the house and also a drive in for one car.
