The Smithy, as the name says (!) is a converted former Smithy near Beaumaris. Although with a datestone of 1811, records show a Smithy in Llanfaes from the early 16th Century so it is assumed 1811 is a 'modernisation' date.

It was converted to a high quality holiday home in around 1985, just before it was acquired by the family who have continued to improve and update the Grade 2 listed cottage to its beautifully appointed standard.

Many that stay describe it as a home and not just a 'holiday cottage'.

The Smithy has been awarded 4 Stars by Visit Wales for self catering accommodation.
